March 2, 1942 - February 11, 2023

After living a life focused on Family, Friendships and Real Estate, we sadly lost our wonderful Don Dinkel on February 11th, 2023.
Don lost his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia at the age of 80 and was diagnosed in April 2019. He faced the diagnoses with an optimistic and true grit attitude. A true warrior!

Don was born March 2nd ,1942, in Grainfield Kansas. He was the youngest of 10 children.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Molly Dinkel, brothers and sisters, Joe Dinkel, Ben Dinkel, Rudy Dinkel, Adolph Dinkel, Alvin Dinkel, Wilma Dinkel-Schumacher, Millie (Baker) Dinkel & Joan (Zerr)- Dinkel.

Don Dinkel lived an amazing life! A Loving Husband, Father. Entrepreneur, Mentor to many, Vietnam Veteran, 12 String Guitarist, Singer, Fisherman, Comedian, Friend, Giver, and the most welcoming calming human to everyone.

He was so humble & kind. A great joke teller. A man of his word with great wisdom, knowledge, and kindness.

He will be missed and remembered every day.

Member of Knights of Columbus

Don enjoyed the Lakehouse at Horsetooth Reservoir in Fort Collins and fishing on the boat “Reel-Estate” for hours. He was so proud of the trophy Walleye he & his wife caught through the years. He loved watching his sons Darren & Justin and many friends on the water, skiing, surfing, windsurfing, wake boarding & sky-skiing.

Don is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sherry Latzer Dinkel of Lakewood Colorado. His children, Darren Dinkel and wife Gina Dinkel, Jay Dinkel and wife Tina Dinkel. Four wonderful grandchildren, Gianna, Houston, Milania, and Skylar and due in May of 2023, a new baby boy.

Surviving Sister Betty Dinkel Gagnon. Many wonderful Nephews and Nieces and great Nephews and Nieces.

Laying to REST March 2nd, 2023- Dons birthday, 2:30 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Denver 80036. This will be at Staging Area B, 2:15pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Establishment, 11885 Bradburn Blvd. Westminster, Colorado 80031, at 4:30pm.
