Gil Perry, 93, of Broomfield, Colorado sadly left us on January 22nd, 2024, just shy of his ninety-fourth birthday. Gil was born to Jack and Elizabeth Perry on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 1930 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Growing up in Denver he was a fun-loving kid who liked to race cars and occasionally test some boundaries. Following his graduation from CU Boulder, where he enthusiastically participated in the Chi Psi fraternity, he joined his father’s business, Englewood Transit. Soon after, he married his first wife Joan and together they had four children: Jamie Sykes, Nancy Valvano, Peter Perry, and Julie Wille.

In 1975, Gil married his second wife and lifelong partner, Jean Perry. Jean, an accomplished oil painter, entered the marriage with her four children: Blair Jones, Neal Jones, Amy Jones, and Casey Jones. Gil and Jean began their marriage in Denver, where Gil honed his skills in business, tennis, and golf. In 1980 they moved to Steamboat Springs and later bought a house in Tucson. Gil and Jean lived between Steamboat and Tucson for seventeen years, until their most recent move to Anthem Ranch in Broomfield, Colorado.

Gil is survived by his wife, Jean, and many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Throughout his life, Gil embraced a passion for fast cars a love of the mountains and a healthy lifestyle. He will be missed.

A celebration of Gil’s life will be held at the Anthem Ranch Lodge on February 3rd at 12:00pm.
