Edwin Lee Wagner, age 78, passed away on May 27, 2021, at PVH from complications of congestive heart failure. He was born October 7, 1942, in Ellsworth, Kansas, the youngest of six children born to Emanuel and Hulda Wagner. Ed married Joyce Hanneman, and they celebrated 56 years together in January of this year. One son William was born in 1965.

Ed was a long-time resident of Fort Collins moving here from Kansas in 1957 with his parents and sister Mary. In his earlier years, he worked as a meat cutter for local grocery stores and a short stint at Forney Industries building welders. He worked for CSU as a custodian for 26 ½ years, retiring in 1996. His hobbies included woodworking with his scroll saw, making nativity scenes, reindeer, tulips, and a wide variety of cut out items that he enjoyed giving away to family and friends.

Edwin is survived by his wife Joyce, son William (Bill), daughter-in-law Shelly Wagner, and 3 grandchildren, Robert, Megan and Leeann Wagner, as well as his brother Ronald Wagner of Independence, Kansas, his sister Mary Specht of Fort Collins, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Emanuel and Hulda Wagner, his sister Norma Jean Stangle and brothers Melvin and Jerry Wagner.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, interment to follow.
