He was born on May 20,1996 in Denver, Colorado and lived in Northglenn, Colorado for his first five years.  Evan worshiped Jesus with his family and his church throughout his life. He grew up in the Reformed Presbyterian Church and later became a member of the Presbyterian Church of America.  Moving with his family to Broomfield, Colorado, he pursued various interests including piano, robotics, computers, hiking, camping, bicycling, and soccer as he was educated at home.  Always close to his family, his brothers and sister were his best friends.  Evan was known for helping others and had a special way of reaching out to people and making them feel welcome.

After finishing high school, Evan pursued his interest in music at Boise State University, studying piano performance with Dr. Del Parkinson, and he actively participated in Reformed University Fellowship.  Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2019, he returned to Broomfield, Colorado where he apprenticed as a piano technician and tuner until the COVID lockdowns.  He then found part-time work and supported his childhood piano teacher’s studio.  While pursuing a career in computer programming, he was suddenly diagnosed with brain cancer yet experienced the grace of the Lord in a new way during his last year of life.

Evan is survived by his parents, James and Melissa (Hemphill) Hindman; brother Matthew; sister Sophie; and brother Logan; his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Margie Hemphill of Wilkinsburg, PA; and his paternal grandmother, Frances Hindman of Longmont CO.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Hindman.
