In early and productive years, Fred was an active member of service and fraternal organizations in Loveland as well as several music organizations having served as their president and musician.  He also received special “recognition of service” in these groups.

Fred married Joan Harris in Loveland and together they raised their three children, Diane Christine, Fredrick David and Jeffrey Harris Fishburn.
