Ganava (Gennie) Meinecke passed away on October 27, 2020.
She born November 23, 1921 in Wayne, Nebraska, to George and Anna Meyer. She married Bill Meinecke at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rural Wakefield, Nebraska on December 12, 1953 which was the same date as her parent’s 46th anniversary. She was a graduate of The California Beauty Academy of Omaha, Nebraska and she worked as a hairstylist in the Grand Island, Nebraska area until they moved to Missoula, Montana. They later moved to Loveland, CO in 1988 from Sacramento, CA. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and Ladies Guild.
Gennie is preceded in death by her husband Bill in 2012, her parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is survived by her God-daughters and numerous nieces and nephews.
