Jerry was born in Gilman, IL on January 11, 1930 and passed away on July 15, 2022. He moved to Chatsworth, IL with his parents, Lorn and Delia Tayler, when he was six and that is where he received his education, and established an electrical business. He then spent four years in the Air Force. He married Patricia Shelby in 1951 and they had four children. Jerry went to work for IBM in 1957, and he worked there until he retired in 1990.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sister, and a niece and nephew. Survivors include his wife, Pat, and their four children Mike (Michelle), Jeri, Lori Freedman (Bob), and Todd (Cindy); his six grandchildren Josh (Colleen), Jennifer (Jason), Jodeen (Jee), Jake (Jessica), Justin (Jenny), and Jackee Tellings (Nick); and his seven great grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
A small family graveside service will be held and inurnment will take place at Foothills Garden of Memories in Longmont, CO
