March 10, 1923 - July 17, 2021

Grace Gargan, 98, of Loveland died after failing health on July 17, 2021 at North Shore Health & Rehab facility.

   She was born on March 10, 1923 in Richmond Hills, New York to Anthony and Florence Kirchgessner.  She graduated from Our Lady of Wisdom Academy high school in 1941.

   Following high school, she married Arthur H. Gargan Jr. on April 25, 1943.  She gave birth to 6 children and was a loving, caring wife and mother.  Grace was always a ray of sunshine.  She loved singing and dancing, her friends, her family, her church, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Trinity.

   Grace was a devout member of St. John's Catholic Church where she was active in many ministries including the Adoration Chapel, the Legion of Mary, and the food bank.  She loved cheering up people in the rehab centers and assisted living facilities by visiting them weekly with her wonderful friends from St. John's.  She was never idle.

   She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur, her oldest son Robert, and a granddaughter Kelly Lynn.

   Grace is survived by her sons James J. Gargan and wife Stephanie of Colfax, CA., Joseph R Gargan and wife Anna of Auburn, CA., William J Gargan and wife Kathleen, daughters Mary T. Cooper and husband Dave, Kathleen M Mowbray and husband Knut.  Grace is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

   A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 27th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland.  Recitation of the Rosary will take place prior to the Mass, at 9:30 a.m.  At the family's request the casket will be closed.  Interment Loveland Burial Park.

   Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Catholic Charities of Northern Colorado in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
