Grace Meza Zavala passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Longmont United Hospital. She was 74 years old.

Grace was born in Harlingen, TX to Guadalupe Meza and Soledad Casas. She grew up in Texas and eventually moved to Oklahoma, where she met her loving husband, Joe Zavala, Jr. Joe and Grace were married in Greeley, CO on May 8, 1970. The couple settled in Longmont, CO in 1973. Together, Grace and Joe brought into the world five beautiful children; Joseph III, Marco, Jimmy, Zelda and Sofia.

Grace was a hard working woman and worked in a variety of jobs during her life. She worked in the cotton fields in Oklahoma, where she met Joe, the Butterball turkey plant in Longmont, a potato plant in Platteville and finally as a machine operator at Plaso in Longmont.

Grace was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Longmont and her faith in her Lord and Savior meant a great deal to her. She was a wonderful woman who loved life and all that it had to offer. She enjoyed many hobbies including playing bingo and going to the casinos, cooking for her family, spending time watching TV and listening to music with her family. Grace was a big Elvis Presley fan.

More than anything else, Grace loved being a wife, a mother and a grandmother. She adored her family and caring for them meant the world to her. Her passing brings great heartbreak to the family she leaves behind. She was so loved and she will be greatly missed.
