Harlan L. Ripley "Rip", age 84, of Loveland, Colorado passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Harlan was born in Pipestone, Minnesota to Lyle and Esther (Tonsfeldt) Ripley. He attended school in Pipestone, where he met Beverly Joyce Herrick. Harlan & Beverly celebrated more than 61 years together before she passed away in April of 2019. In the early years, Harlan served in the US Navy and was stationed in California. While there, Harlan & Beverly were blessed with two daughters, Terry and Tamara. They lived in several different states before putting down roots in Colorado. After moving to Colorado Rip worked at the United States Postal Service until his retirement.
Harlan & Beverly enjoyed camping, boating, and dancing. They loved following their grandchildren and great-grandchildren around to sporting events, school programs and everything else they were involved in. They also enjoyed snow birding in Arizona after retiring. Harlan loved Beverly dearly, and he always put his family first. He will be missed.
Harlan is survived by his daughters Terry Rossi (Craig) and Tami Ripley (Patrick McCartney); grandchildren Lindsey Jurgens (Anthony), Kevin Rossi (Julia), Cassidy Putnam (Rowdy) and Landon Mart (Katie); and great-grandchildren Preston, Lincoln, Beckham & Griffin Jurgens, Donovon, Tessa & Khloe Rossi, Lane, Garret, Drake & Cole Putnam, and Trevin & Ryan Mart.
A brief Memorial Service will be held for Rip on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Fort Collins, CO. He will be laid to rest with his wife, Beverly, at Resthaven Memory Gardens at 2:45 PM. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Gathering following the Burial Service in the Resthaven Celebration Center. Please dress casually in honor of Rip.
