December 1, 1937  -  December 11, 2023

Howard Lee Beall was born December 1, 1937 to Rev. Edward L. Beall, Sr. and Mildred Warfield in Baltimore, Maryland. He became the oldest of four brothers: Howard, Dickson Hugh Beall, Haynie Prince Beall, and Edward Leyburn Beall, Jr. Howard's father was a Presbyterian Minister, who began his service at a little church in Sykesville, Maryland. Mildred Warfield fell in love with the tall, pleasant minister, and they were married September 5, 1936 in Sykesville, Maryland.

It seems as though the Bealls were constantly on the move. When Howard was around a year and a half or two, they were living in the small town of Stuart, Virginia in an old house in the woods next to the church. From that point on, they were constantly on the move from North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and to a town called Memphis, Missouri. Howard graduated from Memphis High School in 1956 and after his graduation, he entered the United States Air Force and served in the Strategic Air Command. After a tour of duty in Mississippi, he was transferred to the SAC Base in Salina, Kansas. While the air base no longer exists, Howard enjoyed revisiting the site each time he traveled across Kansas.

After his Air Force Service, Howard entered two colleges. The first was initially the School of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri. Today, it is called the College of the Ozarks. He later corresponded with them on a regular basis. He graduated from Park College in Parkville, Missouri on December 17, 1967. After that, he and his wife moved from the Kansas City area to Louisville, Kentucky.

Howard obtained his Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.

On April 25, 1964, Howard married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Inman, in his father's church, Sinclair Memorial Presbyterian Church, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His father performed the ceremony. The young Bealls had two children: Brian Scott Beall and Deborah Lee Beall. Brian passed away from cancer on March 1, 2016 in Westminster, Colorado, a disease that would eventually take his father's life. Debbie Beall's first husband was Dee Wall, the father of her children. Her second marriage was to Robert Williamson on June 25, 2022.

He was an educator, an administrator and he also liked to build things from time to time. He was working on a shed in our back yard at the time of his death.

Howard's survivors include his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Debbie Williamson and her children: Joshua Brian Wall (Dallas), Jason Edward Wall (Samantha), Amanda Nicole Wall (Victor Lavigne).

Services will be held at the Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 11:00. There will be a military burial in the Commons Cemetery in Broomfield after the service.
