APRIL 17, 1989 – FEBRUARY 8, 2023

Jaclyn Thompson, beloved daughter of Barry and Avril, sister to Tarryn, Ryan and Lauryn, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, 8th February 2023 after a short battle with cancer.

Jaclyn was quiet, kind, steady, compassionate, and deeply loyal. Never demanding much, Jaclyn was more likely to give than to receive. Her big smile, infectious giggle and sweet presence will be greatly missed.

Jaclyn had a passion for missions work with children in Africa and worked with Musana in Uganda as part of Flatirons Community Church outreach. Whether at work in Fort Collins or at an orphanage in Africa, Jaclyn stood out as a quiet servant to those in need. Her faith in Jesus Christ motivated her to be like her Heavenly Father. She loved Ireland, the home of her grandparents, Tommy and Sadie Thompson of Belfast.

Jaclyn was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1989 and moved with her family to Denver, Colorado in 1998. She attended Faith Christian Academy and graduated from Christian Fellowship School before completing dental and medical diplomas at IBMC in Fort Collins. She worked at Endodontics of the Rockies and loved her co-workers and her job.

Jaclyn is survived by her parents, Barry and Avril Thompson. Jaclyn was the youngest of 4 children, her sister, Tarryn and husband, Michael Farrell, her brother Ryan Thompson, and her sister Lauryn Thompson and fiancé Bryson Swank. She loved her eight nephews and nieces, Akeeva, Taylor, Zaylah, Tristan, Haleigh, Nathan, Bella and Zion, all residents of Northern Colorado. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandparents, Alec and Val Smith as well as her extended family in South Africa and her grandmother Marjorie Thompson and other extended family across the US.

She loved animals, especially her favorite dogs, Sofie and Nelson.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, 4th March 2023 at Timberline Church, East auditorium, at 2908 S Timberline Road, Fort Collins, CO 80525.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jaclyn’s memory to Musana at Home - Musana (www.musana.org).
