December 2, 1926 - April 5, 2023

James Roy Conn, 96 of Louisville Colorado, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023. He was born in Lakeworth Florida on December 2, 1926 to
Robert E. Conn and Berneda Conn.

After graduating Palm Beach High School in 1944, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps from 1945-1947, stationed in the Phillipines. After Serving in the Army he attended the University of Florida, the Gators and He became a proud member of the Delta Tau Delta.

J. Roy married Donna J. Conn on June 9, 1951 at the First Presbyterian Church in West Palm Beach Florida. After settling in West Palm Beach he started working for the Post Times of Palm Beach until later Working in the pest Control Business. He and Donna had three children, Michael, Linda and Bobby. He enjoyed many pass times including Bowling, Boy Scouts and traveling to thier summer home in the Smokey Mountains on Big Rige, North Carolina. He was also a long standing member of Mason’s Gulf Stream Lodge #245 of Lake Worth Florida.
After retiring from the Pest Control business, he worked with Donna in her Travel Agency with deliveries.

J. Roy and Donna resided in West Palm Beach for 51 years until they packed up and moved to Colorado to live with their daughter, Linda and her family in March of 2002. He soon fell in love with the beuatiful mountains and scenery of Colorado. Those seemed to be the best years of his life. With extra time on his hands he got a job driving a shuttle bus in Estes Park, CO, where he enjoyed driving and being a tour
guide. He always said this was the best job he ever had!

After his wife Donna passed away in 2011 he finally decided to retire at the age of 84. J. Roy enjoyed many pastimes and hobbies including photograhy, reading, and exploring Colorado with his family and grandkids.

On December 30th, 2021 their house burned down in the Marshall Fire and he with his family moved to a rental house in Erie, CO. where J. Roy lived until his death on April 5, 2023.
He is survived by his daughter Linda Hinkle and his sons Michael and Bobby Conn and his grand children, Jordan and Marla Hinkle, Randy, Ryan, Shannon, Cody and Madison Conn and preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Conn.

We will all miss his corney jokes, his loud obnoxious laughter, directing, tapping and singing to Lawrence Welk, Hee Ha and the Grand Ole Opry.
He will forever be dancing with the Angels, Donna and all his loved ones to the Beer Barrel Polka and the Glen Miller Band.
