Jim (Jamie) Kennon, 52, of Lafayette, Colorado, passed away on July 14, 2023. He was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina on February 19, 1971, to Martha Kennon and the late Bill Kennon. Jim was a beloved husband to Erica, a proud father to Emlyn (Emmy), and a cherished brother to Scott Kennon.

Jim was a fun-loving, kind-spirited man with a zest for life and a knack for making lasting friendships. His genuine smile and infectious laugh spread happiness to those fortunate enough to call him a friend. Jim's warm and friendly nature endeared him to everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

After graduating from C.E. Jordan High School, Jim attended East Carolina University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. While in college, Jim was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Order.  After college he then embarked on a successful career in the field of IT, working for many years at Hewlett Packard. More recently, Jim transitioned into a sales role at Liggett Vector, covering the midwestern region from Boulder up through part of Wyoming.

In his free time, Jim indulged in various hobbies that brought him joy and fulfillment. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed mountain bike riding, camping with his family, attending concerts, and going on long walks his dogs. These activities allowed him to embrace the beauty of nature and create cherished memories with his loved ones.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held in the coming weeks. The date, time, and location will be announced soon, providing an opportunity for family, friends, and colleagues to come together to honor his memory and share stories of his remarkable life.

Jim leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and genuine connections. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those he touched, and may his family find comfort in the memories they shared with him.
