September 14, 1953 ~ July 27, 2020 (age 66)

James Bradley Susuras joined our Heavenly Father on Monday, July 27th 2020 at 9:10pm, in the comfort of his own home in Firestone, Co. surrounded by family.

He was born on September 14th 1953 to Raymond and Mary Susuras in Denver, Co.

James married Patricia Austin in 1972. They were married for 26 years. Even though the marriage dissolved, they loved each other and remained best friends and soulmates until his very last breath.

He loved Nascar, camping, fishing and football. He enjoyed spending time with family having BBQ’s, going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, and working on cars. As much as he hated being away from the family, he loved driving the big rigs across the country until his health forced him to retire.

James was a very loving Father and even better Grandpa! His grandchildren meant the world to him! He was also a devoted Son, Brother, Uncle and Cousin. He loved his family with all of his heart. He was always willing to share his knowledge. The way he died, is just like the way he lived: he wrote his own rules, he was stubborn and paved his own way, and if you said he couldn’t do it, he would make sure he could.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Raymond Susuras.

He is survived by his mother Mary Susuras, former wife and best friend Patricia Susuras, Children: Michael Susuras and Brandy Bond, Kevin Susuras, Crystal and Matt Johnson, Adopted by love family: Lorena and Bill Castro, Jessica Geist, Anthony Shaeffer, Ashley Derr. Ten Grandchildren: Ashley, Kayla, Matthew, Justin, Desirae, Jacob, Kaiden, Kyle, Avery, Connor and a Great Granddaughter on the way. Siblings: Don, Karen, Doug (Treva), Harry (Diane), Debbie (Ted), and David. Half siblings: Lisa, Bubba and David.

The family has decided to have a private memorial service. In Lieu of flowers, you can donate to TRU hospice care in his memory.
