March 31st, 1955 - March 25th, 2023

Age 67, of Louisville, Colorado, passed away on March 25th, 2023. He was born March 31st, 1955, in New York to Harvey Tatelman and the late Claire Tatelman with his late brother Hal. He attended college at Rider University and received a bachelor’s degree.

Jeff lived in New York and then Atlanta, Georgia where he met his late wife, Beth Tatelman. In 1997, he relocated to Louisville, CO with his wife Beth and daughter Leann. Jeff enjoyed a long and prosperous career in the tech industry as a QA analyst and manager.

Jeff and Beth’s love of the mountains, hiking, biking, and camping lured them to Louisville, Colorado.  Jeff gained an even greater appreciation for Colorado when he met his partner Karen Lebovitz in 2019 who reintroduced him to skiing and helped him master his skills on the slopes. Jeff was an avid traveler
and constantly curious about other cultures. In his retirement he was able to visit such places as Vietnam, Jordan, Egypt, and Costa Rica. Before his untimely passing he was preparing for a solo trip to Thailand. Jeff has been an active member of Congregation Har Hashem in Boulder since 1997. In 2012 he attended the Institute for Jewish Spirituality in New York City furthering his remarkable life journey. He began teaching, and since then he has helped over 100 students on their own masah (journey). He was passionate about sharing his knowledge on meditation, introspection, and embracing individual growth through a Jewish path of character and spirituality leading to awareness, wisdom, and transformation.

To support his love nature Jeff donated his time recently to support an advocacy group: Colorado Jewish Climate Action, (CJCA). This brought together two very meaningful parts of his storied life, a love the great outdoors and a strong connection to his faith.

Jeff was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and partner. He is survived by his daughter Leann and grandsons Henri and Bennett.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, March 28 at 11:00 AM at Congregation Har Hashem, 3950 Baseline Road, Boulder, CO 80303. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park: 3016 Kalmia Ave, Boulder, CO 80301
