Jerre Fager has made his final touchdown and spiked the ball in the endzone.  Jerre was Born in Reading Pennsylvania to Lameta and Harold Fager.  After Lameta and Harold’s divorce, he was adopted by Claire “Lefty” Hughes and grew up on Perkiomen avenue with his 4 siblings; Ray, Thom, Linda and Donna.  A noted athlete at Reading High School he played Football, Baseball, Track and Basketball.  He received several scholarships for athletics and chose Colorado State University after falling in love with the Rocky Mountains.  At CSU he played Football and met Barbara (Bobbi) Fager, his future wife.  Jerre is forever known for his quick, dry wit, and silent antics on his unwitting associates.  After Graduating from CSU he moved back to Reading where he coached football and taught mathematics, Barbara followed him and they were married in Sept of ‘68.  While Coaching and Teaching in the greater Philadelphia area, Jerre and Bobbi had 2 children, Chad and Heather.   In 1980, the family moved to Loveland Colorado, Bobbi’s hometown.   Jerre actively chaperoned many Scouting activities, Youth Sporting events and church outings for his growing family. He worked at the Ft. Collins Post Office and enjoyed playing Softball and Basketball with the Office teams.  Throughout his time in Colorado, Jerre delighted in hiking and Skiing in the Rockies with family and friends.  His quiet devotion to family, friends, and upright citizenship evident in the way he lived and loved.  In retirement, Jerre enjoyed traveling with or to see his Grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara Fager, their Children Chad and Heather, and Grandchildren, Alex, Brittany, William and Ben.
