May 13, 1992 ~ June 5, 2022 (age 30)
Jesse James Gunn was born and raised in Longmont, CO. He graduated from Skyline High School, Class of 2010. In November 2019, he joined his family in their move to Frederick, CO. Jesse is survived by his sister, Margaret Eirene Lefaoseu, brother, Frank "Anthony" Ruiz, SIster, Susana Sinavaiui Lefaoseu, and brother, Issac Joseph Ruiz. He loved his siblings with all that he had, no matter the distance between. Their bonds were great.
Jesse was a family man and a good friend. He served in multiple capacities through opportunities provided through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most recently, he served as a primary teacher. He loved the children he taught and was delighted by their understanding and application of the gospel of Jesus Christ and their willingness to follow Christ. During his storm in the end, as he looked for rainbows, his primary children brought him joy, peace and smiles. Jesse loved music, fishing, talking to squirrels, listening to birds sing, conversations about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and reading scriptures. Jesse had a real gift for gift giving and had a way of seeing to the heart of others. Jesse had a valiant spirit, even through his life long battle with Duchenne's muscular dystrophy and epilepsy. He managed to wear a smile that was a comfort and joy to others regardless of the opposition he constantly faced. Jesse spent the final weeks of his life at the Children's hospital, Aurora campus in the excellent, compassionate care of medical staff and with the muscle clinic team who cared for him since the age of 4.
Services for Jesse will be held on Saturday, June 18th at 5pm, with a Celebration of Life from 6-8:30pm in the cultural hall Location: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1721 Red Cloud Rd, Longmont, CO 80501
