June 29, 2000 - July 20, 2023
As the sun was rising on July 20, 2023, our beloved Jessen Aschenbrenner lost his battle with depression.
Jessen Albert Aschenbrenner was born June 29, 2000, in Loveland, Colorado to parents Rodney Neal and Michelle (Shelley) Rose Aschenbrenner. He was a third generation Colorado native on his father’s side.
Jessen had a heart as golden as his blond hair. He was a beautiful soul making friends everywhere he went. He had a natural ease with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Jessen was a social butterfly with a zest for fun and adventure. He loved live music, vintage kicks, custom clothing, and had a deep appreciation for the mountains. Jessen had many goals, ambitious dreams, and optimism for a bright and exciting future. Jessen loved his family deeply and they loved and cherished him. He had recently begun a tattoo sleeve honoring his family starting with roses signifying his mother.
Jessen attended Garfield Elementary, Bill Reed Middle School, and graduated from Loveland High School in 2018 with a secondary certificate in Wildlife, Forestry, and Natural Resources from Front Range Community College. He was on the LHS Wrestling Team throughout high school and previously played soccer and football. Jessen had diverse interests and could easily learn and master new skills. This led him to several jobs after graduation. He was a coach, welder, fabricator, facility attendant, and customer sales representative. He most recently worked for Fort Collins Nissan where he earned several awards. Jessen was pursuing a career in insurance at the time of his passing.
Jessen is survived by his grandparents Albert and Lorraine Michall, parents Rod and Shelley, sister Lilah, brother Keagan, sister-in-law Priscilla, niece Xyliana, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and too many friends to count. Preceding him in death was his grandmother Beverly JoAnn Turner (Schleiger) and grandfather Robert Aschenbrenner.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2023 at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home. A reception to Celebrate Jessen’s Life will immediately follow the service at Dwayne Webster Park, Pavilion #2, 400 W Eisenhower Blvd, Loveland, CO 80537. It is suggested that folks bring a lawn chair.
In remembrance of Jessen’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
