Joseph Albert Nemeth Jr., 67, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

Joe was born and raised in Genoa, Ohio and graduated from Genoa High School in 1972.  In his young adult years he was a drummer in the band "Amber Blue." He later moved to Estes Park, Colorado where he met Susan Elizabeth Gangwish on a blind date. She was the love of his life. They were married on September 18, 1982 and eventually moved to Longmont, Colorado where they raised their family.

Joe was an electrician at what is now Corden Pharma (Roche) pharmaceutical company from 1986 until his retirement in 2011.  Prior to retirement, he and his oldest child, Justin, enjoyed being colleagues. He loved nature; he was a gardener and had a big heart for each of his grandpets. He enjoyed cooking and grilling and made award-winning BBQ.  His greatest joy in life was his family: his wife of 25 years, three children and eight grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue (Gangwish) Nemeth, and parents Joseph and Carlotta (Hartshorn) Nemeth of Genoa, Ohio.  He is survived by his three children: Justin (Tracy) Huff, Laura (Mike) Davis, both of Longmont, Colorado and Elizabeth (Hugh) Gallagher of Beaver, Pennsylvania; as well as his two sisters: Judith (David) Waggoner and Penny (William) Steven both of Genoa, Ohio. He has eight grandchildren: Mason and Warren Huff, Susannah, Bridget, and Molly Gallagher, and Levi, Ella, and baby Davis due in the fall.

A private family viewing was held at Ahlberg Funeral Home on July 16, 2022 and Joe will be interred with his wife at Foothills Garden of Memory. A private celebration of his life is being planned for the future at his favorite beach in Siesta Key, Florida. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com for his family.
