Joseph Phillip Arnold passed away at the age of 86, on April 20, 2023, in Broomfield, Colorado. He was born to Eugene Arnold, Sr. and Sepha Rhode Arnold in Galveston, Texas on January 13, 1937.

Joe attended Kirwin High School in Galveston, Texas, and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1954. After graduation, he joined the US Army and went through basic training at Fort Bragg, serving in the Army Reserves for 10 years.

Joe married Annemarie Frank of Geislingen, Germany.  Joe and Anne met in New York City and wed in Galveston, Texas, on September 4, 1965. Joe’s Geology degree led him to a career in the oil and gas industry after college, which took him to numerous cities, including New Orleans, Houston, Salt Lake City, Cleveland, New York City, and finally, Denver, where he and Anne settled, and Joe began a long and productive career in real estate.

Joe was an avid traveler. He was blessed to have traveled all over the world with Anne and his family.  In recent years, he continued his travel adventures by enjoying cruises. However, Joe’s favorite place on earth was his family’s cabin on the Pecos River outside of Santa Fe, NM. There he enjoyed fishing, reading a good book in the comfort of the porch, spending time with his family, and venturing into Santa Fe to check out his favorite restaurants and galleries.

He is survived by his brothers, Eugene Arnold, Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX and Hugh Arnold of Pueblo, CO; son, Michael Arnold (Margaret) of Western Springs, IL; son Eric Arnold (Amy) of Parker, CO; grandson Owen Arnold of Erie, CO; granddaughters Gretchen Arnold of Broomfield, CO and Eleanor Arnold of Western Springs, IL; grandson Graham Arnold of Parker, CO; granddaughter Evelyn Arnold of Parker, CO and several nieces and nephews, including his beloved Geanna, Andrea, and Cindy, all of Texas.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, Annemarie Arnold of Broomfield, CO; sister, Helen Arnold of Houston, TX; father, Eugene Arnold, Sr. of Galveston, TX; and mother, Sepha Arnold of Galveston, TX.

A memorial service and reception will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 29th, at Rundus Funeral Home, located at 1998 W. 10th Ave in Broomfield, CO.
