Joseph Steve Mestas Sr., died on September 5, 2023 in Longmont, CO, surrounded by family.
Steve was born on October 13, 1943 in Pueblo, CO to Della Valdez and Jim Mestas.In 1980 he moved his family to Boulder so he can attend Colorado University.Steve loved hunting and fishing, riding his Harley and his horses and spending time with family, friends and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, Joseph Steve Mestas Jr. (April), and two daughters, Madelena Varela and Michelle Mestas and 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Daphne.
He is also survived by siblings, Vivian, Martha, Kenny, Sharon, Kelly and Fred.He his preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, Beatrice, Robert, Andrew, Joseph Leroy, Shirley Ann, Josephine and Anthony Wayne.
