SEPTEMBER 29, 1935 – FEBRUARY 23, 2023

Julianne “Julie” (Lowe) Muller, of Loveland, died on February 23, 2023, after a long battle with dementia/Alzheimer’s disease. She was born September 29, 1935, in Littleton, Colorado, to Edward and Joanne (Thompson) Lowe.

On September 21, 1957, Julie married her high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Muller, who preceded her in death in May of 2015. They had five children: Robert (Lourdes) Muller, Jr., Suzanne Kempshall, Michelle (Richard) Gebhart, James Muller, and Dana (John) Weiss. Julie was fondly known as “Nana” to her six grandchildren, Charles Fleming, Caitlin Muller-Cates, Rachel Weiss, Allison Weiss, Benjamin Gebhart, and Jake Muller. Julie’s sister Patricia Fortune preceded her in death.

Before marrying, Julie proudly graduated from St. Frances de Sales High School and Loretta Heights Women’s College in Denver. She went on to obtain two master’s degrees from the University of Northern Colorado. Julie enjoyed a 25-year career as an educator and librarian at Conrad Ball Middle School. After her retirement she and Bob loved to travel. She was also an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Friends of the Public Library.

Julie’s passion for and knowledge of books were the greatest gifts she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Her love and dedication to her family was felt by all and she will be greatly missed.

A memorial mass will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland. There will be a Recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral following at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels Loveland or the Friends of Loveland Public Library Foundation.
