Justine Isabelle Bernard was born on May 12, 1924 to Michael & Katherine Santeramo in Culver City, California. The family moved to Hibbing, MN in 1926 where Justine married her High School sweetheart; LeRoy in 1942.
They moved to Loveland in 1962 where they opened “Santeramos’ Italian Restaurant” and later sold it in 1972. In later years, she helped out at Justines’ Pizza which was owned by Mike and Judy. Dad named the two restaurants after her because he always wanted her name in lights.
Justine and LeRoy took many trips in their camper to Red Feather Lakes and several trips to Italy to see her cousins. She also loved going to Blackhawk.
Mom loved her family more than anything and always looked forward to our big dinners together.
Sadly, LeRoy passed away in 1992. Justine is survived by her four children; Mike (Judy) Bernard, Linda (Pat) Kennedy, Joni (Ray) Turner, Sandy (Craig,deceased) Anger. Grandchildren; Teri (Philip) Farias, Jackie (Jeff) Brunacci, Christy (Randy) Walston, Michael (Jaclyn) Jaeger, Joe (Jenny) Kennedy. Great Grandchildren; Alexandra Farias, Cameron Farias, Jacob Brunacci, Jordan Brunacci, Kadin Miro, Juliana Kennedy, Jacob Kennedy.
Justine was preceded in death by her parents; Michael and Katherine Santeramo, her husband LeRoy and her four brothers; Lawrence, Michael, Victor and John.
Please join us for a celebration of Justines’ life on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 1-4:00 pm at First Congregational Church, 800 N. Lincoln in Loveland. Please enter the church via the 8th Street entrance.
