Passed away peacefully on May 12, 2021 in Longmont, Colorado at 82 years of age do to complications from an accidental leg injury.

Born in Pocatello, Idaho on August 14, 1938 to Ernest R. Videan and Cleo Adams and grew up with two sisters, Merlene Saunders and Diane Panek. Karen married Laverl N. Ball and together raised four children then later divorced and married Gary Bogestad.

Our amazing, loving and caring mother loved and enjoyed her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends with all her heart.  Karen also enjoyed working at Holy Cross Hospital early in her first marriage. In her later years she loved to travel with her husband (Gary), she loved to read and oil paint until she could no longer do to macular degenerative disease. Her paintings hang on the walls of everybody who loved her.

Karen raised a family and taught us to love each other through thick and thin. She had a connection to everyone who had the pleasure to meet her. Her family will cherish each and every memory. Mom, you were your family`s best friend, there really is no way to fully express how much you will be missed.

Karen is survived by her husband (Gary Bogestad), her children; son Steven T. Ball (Blaine Osborne), daughter (Tina A. Ball), son (David J. Ball), stepdaughters (Brenda, Faith and Mindy), granddaughters (Kaylee) and (Ashlee) and great grandsons (Jayden) and (Johnny).

Preceded in death by both parents; sisters (Merlene Saunders) and (Diane Panek), son (Jeffery Ball), stepdaughter (Shanna)

A celebration of life for Karen will be determined at later date where friends and family will be notified.  In lieu of flowers, at the request of family, please donate to AMDF (American Macular Degeneration Foundation)  https://www.macular.org/how-donate
