Kathy passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends on March 8, 2022 after a long and elegant battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born to parents Bernice and Ken Lynch of Buffalo, New York in April 1945 and was soon followed by her sisters, Marge, Barb and Janet. The four sisters have remained close and supportive throughout their lives.
In her early adulthood, Kathy worked a variety of clerical and modeling jobs to finance her passion for travel, auto rallies, music and skiing. In 1971, she and a close friend traveled west in search of adventure when they stopped for a short stay in Fort Collins. This short stop was extended when she met Jim Crowe, who she later courted and married in 1972.
During their 50-year marriage, Kathy and Jim had three children: Isaac, Adam and Emily. Living in Fort Collins, Estes Park and Loveland, Kathy continued her eclectic career working in child care, administration, health care, sales, distribution, and many other occupations. With a lively spirit and generous outlook Kathy continuously participated in community activities and made many, many lifelong friends. She furthered her numerous passions by teaching herself stained glass, painting and gardening and trained to become a black belt in Aikido.
Kathy is remembered by family and friends for her endless curiosity, innate kindness, adventurous spirit, positive outlook, welcoming nature and ever-present smile.
She is survived by her partner Jim Crowe; her sisters Marge, Barb, and Janet; son Isaac and partner Alicia; Adam and partner Claire and Emily and partner Joe, as well as grandchildren Gabe, Blaine, Annalise and Xander.
