Kathryn A Calvert died peacefully on February 2, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born December 28, 1935 to Thomas and Mary Magner in Salem, Massachusetts.
She graduated from Salem High School and moved to Homestead Florida where she worked at Sacred Heart Catholic Church before meeting her husband of 56 years, Robert Calvert. Together they raised 6 children and have 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren with the 6th on the way. She worked at Longmont United Hospital for 18 years and retired in 1996.
She is remembered for her love of family, strong faith, sense of humor and adventurous spirit. She enjoyed family vacations, visiting Estes park, attending Irish festivals, and spending time with close family friends, the Potts family from Colorado, the Leblanc family from Louisiana, and Lena Kent also from Louisiana. She was always up for a trip whether it was for shopping, gambling or jumping on a plane at the drop of a hat. The beach was always calling her.
She is survived by daughter and son in law Suzanne and Rick Leytham, son Robert Calvert Jr, daughter and son in law Janet and Jeff Coldwell, son Kevin Calvert, and daughter Carol Calvert. Grandchildren Katie Leytham, Daniel (Mica) Leytham, Christopher Leytham, Anessa Calvert, Shannon Calvert, ShelbyAnn Calvert, Sophia Calvert, Matthew Calvert, Sarah Calvert, Derek Calvert and Megan Calvert. Great grandchildren Jaycob, Ellie, Kaitlynn, Benjamin, Chase and babygirl Leytham yet to arrive. Numerous nieces and nephews from Massachusetts, Florida, Missouri, and Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Calvert, son Brian Calvert, her sisters Patricia Magner and Carol Hardwick, brother Gerard Magner, and infant brothers Martin Magner, Frederick Magner, and grandson Lee Calvert.
