Kathryn Harmon Johnson joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in heaven on Thurs. Dec. 16, 2021 at the age of 93 years.  She was a dedicated Ambassador for Jesus Christ and Her favorite passage was “it came to pass.”  She was born August 7, 1928 to R.P. & Nellie Harmon.  She had one older brother, Lloyd Harmon.  The family had a Ranch outside of Belle Fourche, South Dakota.  Kathy was the first entrepreneur to open a Fast Food Stand, named Kay’s Kove, in SD and employed 12 young ladies before she even graduated High School.  After graduating Belle Fourche High, she attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota where she was on the Synchronized Swimming Team and met the love of her life in the Music Dept.  She married Clifford L. Johnson on August 27, 1950.    They had 3 Children: Debra Johnson Green, Scott Johnson & Christian Johnson in Blue Springs, Mo where they lived at Lake Tapawingo.  Kathy served on many Boards there & was proud to be an Official Judge of Elections.

This power couple celebrated 60+ yrs of marriage while traveling the world as singing evangelists. Together they founded “Motivation for Ministry” and the Travel Network meanwhile hosting 25 Tours to Israel.  They attended & served on the Board of Message of Life Ministries. They loved God’s church & showed it by helping any denomination whenever they were asked.

Kathy loved her family dearly and is survived by her daughter: Debra Green & Scott Johnson of Windsor. Her Grandchildren are: Amanda Wicker, Matthew Green, Kristen Dotson, Luke Johnson, Katie Johnson & Andrew Johnson. She has 10 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband & youngest son.

The Funeral Service was held at Message of Life Ministries on Monday, December 27 @ 11am and later she will join Cliff in the Resthaven Memorial Garden.
