JUNE 16, 1962 – NOVEMBER 30, 2020

Kay Lynn Albert died unexpectedly Nov. 30 in Longmont. She was 58 (or, as she’d say, she’d just celebrated the eighth anniversary of her 50th birthday).

Kay was the office manager for a building supply company in Windsor. She was also a supporter of a number of Northern Colorado nonprofit groups.

A lifelong resident of Northern Colorado, Kay was born in Greeley, the youngest of Bob and Jane Miller’s three children. She attended elementary, junior high and high school at Eaton.

As an adult, Kay lived on the family farm southeast of Eaton, where she spent several years as her mother’s caregiver. At the time of her death, she was living with her husband in Longmont.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by husband Michael Gormley of Longmont, Colorado; brother Scott (Kay) Miller of Gypsum, Colorado; sister Kristy John of Ault, Colorado; granddaughter Tia Albert of Boise, Idaho; nephew Thomas John of Loveland, Colorado; niece Virginia Miller of Gypsum, Colorado; and a number of cousins, as well as former husband Thurmond Albert of Boise, Idaho. She is also survived by countless friends who will miss her smile, her spirit and her quick wit.

A celebration of life will be held in spring or summer of 2021, when large gatherings are appropriate.
