Kevin Heinrich Seligmann was born October 5, 1966 and departed this life on May 26, 2023 after a year-long battle against throat cancer.

Kevin grew up in Fort Collins, CO where his parents instilled in him a love of all animals and the outdoors. Kevin received a Bachelor of Science majoring in Automotive Parts and Service Management from the University of Southern Colorado - Pueblo. In August 1992, he married Caroline Christopher at Memorial Park in Springfield, CO. They immediately moved to Detroit, MI so Kevin could start a job at the General Motors call center. They lived in Detroit for 6 years before getting transferred back to Denver, CO.

Kevin held many jobs with General Motors before accepting his dream job as a Technical Advisor with the Chrysler Corporation in 1999. They lived in Aurora for many years and welcomed Katherine J. on November 23, 2005. Kevin found the perfect home for his family in Strasburg that included a huge 6 car barn that he could move his prized possessions into. Kevin was a Mopar man and loved his Challenger with a Hemi. Skiing with his brother, Eric, was a favorite pastime when they both had the knees to do the back bowls. He loved looking for antiques with his brother-in-law, Steve. Finding an old lantern or fire extinguisher made his day.

He loved his family, cats, working in the garage, and trips to Rocky Mountain National Park. Watching the drag races at home and attending Mile High Nationals at Bandimere were always things he looked forward to. When working from home, Kevin often brought the kittens Caroline had rescued into his office where they spent the day with him. Kevin was preceded in death by his father Gunther Seligmann, grandparents Kenneth and Marian Austin, and uncle Kent Austin. He is survived by his wife and daughter Caroline and Katherine, mother Carol Seligmann, brother Eric (Ellie) Seligmann, aunt Pat Austin and cousins Brian and Mark, in-laws Jim and Jo Ann Christopher, Gwen (Steve) Calhoun, and Phil (Brenda) Christopher, nieces and nephews: Hans, Heidi, James, Tom, and Rachel. Please make donations in Kevin’s name to either of these organizations that run affordable spay and neuter clinics: thefelinefix.org or Denvercats.org.
