Born August 17, 1958 and passed peacefully on July 8, 2021 surrounded by family and friends.
Kevin was born in Oklahoma City to Erma Lewis and Ralph Williams. Kevin attended Oklahoma City Public Schools and in the summer of 1978, he moved to Boulder, Colorado to attend CU-Boulder with the American Indian Educational Opportunity Program. He worked at Storage Tec and Neodata as well as IT at the San Juan Learning Center. Kevin loved riding his bicycle and hiking throughout Boulder and he was a consummate guitar player. His musical interest began at Central Junior High school playing the clarinet and saxophone in the band, he enjoyed sharing his talents with his family and friends.
The last few years of his life were spent living graciously and courageously with cancer and he will be greatly missed. Kevin is an enrolled member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and his brothers Michael and Alvin Williams. He was blessed with two children, whom he loved dearly: Steven Halsey-Williams, Boulder, Colorado and Katherine Herman-Williams, Redlands, California. Siblings are: Darla Williams, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Candy Murray, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Donna Murray, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Linda Williams, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Teresa and B.J. Roetto, Hollister, Missouri, and Danny Williams, Ponca City, Oklahoma. He is survived by nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm at the Chautauqua picnic shelter, 900 Baseline Road, Boulder, Colorado. Food will be served and we welcome you to come and share your memories of Kevin.
