September 20, 1967 ~ September 7, 2022 (age 54)

Kip Anthony Zwickel was born on September 20, 1967, and passed away on September 7, 2022.  Kip was born in Fairbury, Nebraska and spent a portion of his childhood in Peterborough, New Hampshire before moving to Shenandoah, Iowa.  After high school, Kip moved to San Diego, California where he worked at Sea World and the rumor is that he would sneak the aquatic animals hot dogs from his employee lunch.  After a brief stint riding the waves in California, he moved to his forever home.... the State of Colorado.  From Pearl Street, to the slopes of the Rockies, Kip thrived in Mountain Life where he would create a beautiful family and life.

Although a less than average lifespan, Kip did not live an average life.  His Colorado days were spent riding his Harley wherever the wind took him, shredding the black diamond runs on the Continental Divide, building anything from houses to longboards and starting his own hardwood flooring business, Oakley Hardwood Floors.

Kip loved hard, never met a stranger and was always the funniest guy in the room.  Kip's creativity and passion for life lives on through his three beautiful daughters whom he loved with all his heart.  Although he never had a building or statue named after him, he did have a namesake barbeque sandwich, the Big Kipper.
Kip will be sorely missed and is survived by his daughters Isabella, Annamarie & Ireland Zwickel, former spouse Barbie Shea, mom Marilyn Colby, dad George (Carol) Zwickel, siblings Kim Stanbrough, Kiersten (Dustin) Driever, Zach (Amy) Zwickel, Renee (Jason) Hansen, & Michelle Snyder, as well as many nieces and nephews.

As Kip would say, "don't do anything I wouldn't do and if you do, do it all night long"
Burial:  Thursday, September 29, 2022, 2:00pm at Mountain View Cemetery, 620 11th Ave., Longmont Colorado 80501 with reception following.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to his daughters Isabella Zwickel, Annamarie Zwickel and Ireland Zwickel.
