Kristin Margaret Mastin, 51, passed away at her home in Westminster, CO on June 23, 2021 after battling colon cancer. She was born in Milford, CT on March 5, 1970. She graduated from Barrington High School in 1988, received her BA from Roosevelt University in Chicago, and pursued graduate studies in psychology. She went on to a successful career as the Marketing Communication Director for Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Sydney Sophia Mastin; Mother, Laura Martin; Father, Gerry Martin and his wife Diane; sister, Jennifer Ward and her husband Tim; two loving nieces, Olivia and Katie Ward; aunt, Linda Gustafson; godmother, Donna Sutter and her husband Sam; and her devoted dog Timmy.
Kris was an endless champion of the Underdog. She was the one on the school playground who always looked for the kid who was left out and invited them to play. At the racetrack, she always cheered for the long shot. And, as a pet lover, she always looked for the little soul that was just a little more needy, a little older, and even a little broken.
Kris had a magnetic personality and a laugh that lit up a room. She was a big Broncos fan, loved watching horror movies, and had a wonderful circle of friends who adored her. Her heart and sense of compassion were enormous, and her special phrase for those close to her was “love you more.” She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
