Kristy Kaye Sweet passed peacefully at her home on September 14, 2022 surrounded by the love of her family. Kristy was born on April 25, 1950 in Rockford, Illinois to Harold & Elinor Knott.
She met and married the love of her life, Gary, and they recently celebrated 52 wonderful years. After their wedding day, honeymoon arrangements were made for a stay at a "fancy" resort. However, after the first day they determined there was not much fun to be had so they ventured to Disneyland. Returning home to Madison, WI to start their life with only a quarter in their pockets. They moved their family to Colorado in 1977, then into their forever home in Loveland in 1978.
Kristy is survived by & will be terribly missed by her loving husband Gary, daughters Jaimi Sweet (Sean Misener) & Jinna Westman (William Westman). Grandsons Tanner Hamlet & family, Jacob Westman & family, Caleb Westman, & Ryker Misener. Siblings Jeff Knott, Chad Knott & Jody Knott (Jeff Weigen). Two beloved dogs Beau & Lily. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Kristy made many lifelong friends everywhere she went. Her smile and attitude towards life was infectious. Kristy enjoyed being with her family, traveling with Gary, visiting friends, sewing, quilting & making beautiful keepsakes.
The family would like to extend thanks to Colorado Visiting Nurse Association Hospice for their amazing care they provided to both Kristy & her family.
Celebration of Kristy's life will be held at a later date.
