JANUARY 12, 1933 – DECEMBER 4, 2020
Ladonna Joyce (Rehmert) Evert, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and beloved dog Tami on December 4, 2020.
Ladonna was born January 12, 1933 to Louis and Thelma Rehmert in Jetmore, KS. She married Wendell Evert on December 14, 1963.
She devoted her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren considering their happiness her greatest accomplishment. Ladonna grew up on a farm in Hodgeman County, KS. She and her family lived at various locations in the Central States and moved from Kansas City to Longmont in 1990. She liked working in the garden with lots of flowers and loved feeding the birds. In her later years she enjoyed jewelry making, donating her creations to friends, family, and nursing homes back in Kansas. Her fudge was the hit of the neighborhood during the holidays.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Bob and Dennis Rehmert; son, David Rehmert; and grandson, Drake Evert.
Survived by her husband Wendell of the home; daughters, Diane (Lisa) Evert, Milwaukee, WI; Cheri (Scott) Anderson, Red Wing, MN; Raquel (Bill) Smellage, Longmont, CO; sons, Jay (Kim) Evert, Preston, KS; Michael (Karen) Evert, San Carlos, CA; grandchildren, Brock, Brady, Caleb, Abigail, Kelli, Devon, Kaden, Dawson, Chesney, Ryan, Mikaela, Amy, Angela.
In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to Longmont Humane Society.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
