July 17, 1946 - June 30, 2022
LaRue Ann Randa passed away the evening of June 30, 2022 at McKee Medical Center under hospice care. She was born on July 17, 1946 in Hartley, Iowa to Joe and Nora Warren. At a very early age, she was surrounded by her beloved grandparents, Henry and Emily Petersen, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins – with fond memories of the Iowa farm and childhood adventures.
She met Kerry Randa in her later high school years and they were married on August 21, 1966. LaRue earned her nursing degree/certifications and worked as a health care professional in Des Moines and later lived in Davenport while Kerry attended school. After graduating, they moved to Loveland, Colorado where they have made their home since 1968. She worked at Loveland Memorial and then McKee Medical Center when the original hospital closed – retiring in the early 80s. Kerry and LaRue had one daughter, Jessica, and the three of them enjoyed hiking, camping, cross country skiing, traveling and family gatherings.
LaRue enjoyed spending time with family and a very special group of close friends. Her favorite pastimes included watching home remodeling/decorating shows, watching wildlife and birds, loving her many dogs through the years, flower gardening, fall camping trips to the northwest and New England, and reading.
LaRue is survived by her husband, Kerry Randa; daughter Jessica (Tony); brother Mitch (Diane) Warren; sister Laura (Dave) Harman; and the family dog, Mr. Spock. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Joe, and her grandparents, Henry and Emily.
