Lauren Lee McGregor, 85, went home to be with our Lord on Jan 12, 2024. He was born in North Dakota on March 8, 1938 to Lloyd and Ruth (Willason) McGregor, and grew up in Litchville along with his two sisters, Gloria and Sharon. He graduated in 1960 From Northern State University with a degree in engineering. On May 29, 1960, he married Karen Zahrbock in Chokio, MN. Together, they raised three children, Michele, Mark, and Nick. Over the course of their 63 years of marriage, they made their home in Washington, Arizona, and Colorado. After retiring in 2005, Lauren served as a volunteer with various organizations in roles such as chaplain, Red Cross driver, Bible study leader, and HOA board member. He is survived by his wife, all his children, numerous grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Even though Lauren grew up in church, he did not truly understand or have a personal relationship with Jesus until the day he gave his heart to Jesus on March 7, 1971. He spent the rest of his days faithfully loving and serving the Lord, and died with full confidence in meeting his Saviour. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and is remembered by all for his kind, loving, and generous heart.

A celebration of life service will be held at Longmont Calvary, 2101 Gay Street, 80501 on Saturday, February 10th at 2 pm.
