NOVEMBER 17, 1939 – FEBRUARY 15, 2022
Margaret (Rosin, Schick) Foerster, 82, of Loveland, passed away February 15, 2022. She was born to Wilhelm and Mathilde (Damrau) Rosin on November 17, 1939, in Kultschin (Kulczyn), Poland. She and her family emigrated from West Germany to America in 1952 and came to farm in Milliken, Colorado. She attended middle school there. As a young adult she moved to Greeley and worked at the Greeley Hospital as a nurse’s aide. While working there, she met her first husband, Richard Schick. They were married for 13 years before Richard passed away. Margaret worked many various jobs to support her young children over the years. She met her second husband Horst Foerster, in 1980. After a 5-year courtship, they were married on June 29, 1985.
Margaret loved serving and volunteering in her church and the Loveland community. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 60 years. She found great comfort in her daily Bible devotions, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and word search puzzles. She especially loved her family and spending time with them. Holding babies was her most heartfelt pleasure in this world.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 37 years, Horst; daughter Mary (Jeff) Gardner of Kersey, grandchildren Kyle, Kirsten, Kaylee (Quinton) with great grandchildren Porter and Breckyn; son Mark (Tina) Schick of Henderson, NV, with grandchildren Josiah, Isabelle (Abhi), Luke (Elizabeth) and Joel and greatgrandchild Maxen; daughter Christine (Joe) Shepker of Weldona, CO, with grandchild Andrea (Stan) of Hudson and great grandchildren Stanley, Lillian and Ariadne, Grandchild Johanna (Joe) of Ault and great grandchildren Audrey and Genny, and grandchild Richard; Son Michael (Melissa) Foerster of Fort collins with grandchildren Haley, Erika and Gabriel; son Marcus (Laurie) Foerster of Johnstown with grandchildren Dylan and Rylee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her siblings Arnold, Leo, Reinhard, Frieda and Irma and grandchild Zachary.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loveland with a reception following. All who knew Margaret are welcome to attend. Interment will take place on Monday, February 21 at 10am at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
