Maria Del Carmen Gasca, 87 joined Jesus on September 14, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. Maria was born on August 2nd, 1936 in Texas to Miguel and Sara Hernandez, and was the oldest of 6 children.
Maria met and married Jose (Rico) Gasca on Jan 16th, 1961, together they had 3 children, Sylvia, Jose, and Rafael. Maria lived on base in California and Hawaii while Rico served in the United States Marine Corps. After losing her mother and father Maria took over the family restaurant in Loveland Co, The Mexican Inn. Maria ran the Mexican Inn well into her 70.s even after retiring you could find her in the kitchen cleaning beans, or she would be in the front having lunch with her friends.
Maria spent a lot of time at church, bible study and counseling her many friends. Maria loved getting dressed up. You wouldn't ever catch her without her hair and makeup done, she loved sewing and making clothes and visiting with her friends. Maria really enjoyed raising her 3 children and being surrounded by family and friends.
Maria is survived by her son Davy and wife Crystal Gasca, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sister Benji Morrison and brother Richard Hernandez.
Maria is preceded in death by her daughter Sylvia O'Gorman and son Jose (Pepe) Gasca jr.
Services will be held Monday October 2nd at 2pm, Kibbey Fishburn 1102 Lincoln Ave, Loveland Colorado. The reception will be held at Associated Veterans, 305 N Cleveland Ave, Loveland Colorado.
