Maria Pappalardo passed away peacefully at her home in Berthoud, CO on March 14, 2021 surrounded by family. She was an amazing cook, skilled seamstress and gardener. She enjoyed the many birds in her beautiful gardens in California and more recently, Colorado. Maria loved nature and was always amazed by the variety of wildlife that ventured into the yard.
Maria was born in Italy to Oreste and Maria Luigia. She and her family later moved to the US. She met her husband in New York and moved to California where she enjoyed life for over 50 years before coming to Colorado.
Maria was devoted to her husband John for 64 years. She was the loving mother of Pat (Anna dec.) of CO and Lucia (Michael) of CO. Cherished sister of Anna dec. (Carmine dec.), Albert, Nunzio (Onorina), Alex (Teresa dec.), Dominic (Mary) and Lena. Loving grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, Godmother and friend. Maria’s love knew no bound and she will be greatly missed by all.
Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Longmont, CO on Friday March 19, 2021 with viewing at 10:00, Rosary at 10:20 and funeral Mass at 11:00. A private entombment, for immediate family, will be held following the church service.
