Mark Dwayne Schafer of Lakewood, CO passed away on February 24, 2024, at his home.
Mark was born on January 5, 1953 in Denver, CO to Joe and Ruth Schafer. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1971, and was known to his classmates as a very intelligent and well dressed young man. After school, he held various types of jobs throughout his career. Working with the Department of Highway as a Head Draftsman, penny stock broker, and surveyor, he got to see much of the northwest and traveled throughout Colorado and Wyoming as well. In his free time; Mark was a lover of history, music and movies. He always had a hunger and passion for learning, and this remained true until his final day.
Mark is survived by three siblings; Michael (Cathy) Schafer, Monty Schafer and Melody (Ernie) Travis, nieces and nephews; Heather Travis, Nicole (Joshua) Daniels, Nathan (Janine) Schafer, Michael (Mikaela) Schafer, Noelle (John) Cho, Anna (Shane) Coffee.
He was preceded in death by his father Joe, mother Ruth, sister-in-law Doreen, and beloved feline friend "Bubbles".
