Mary E. (Gallegos) Martinez of Fort Collins, passed away on November 2, 2021.
Mary was born on October 18, 1922 in Kayler, NM, to Juan Dulcineo and Andreita (Sanchez) Gallegos.
She was a devoted and loving mother who lived most of her life in Denver, CO.
Preceded in death is Mary’s son, Loney L. Martinez, daughter Anna Mae Kelly, brothers; Pete and Alfred Gallegos, and sister, Sylvia Gries.
Mary is survived by her sons, Manual Martinez, John Martinez (Sharon), and Tim Martinez, daughters; Andrea O’Reilly and Joyce Martinez, brother, Al Gallegos (Glena), Mag Gallegos (Sherril) and Virginia Montoya, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
We have been blessed to have Mary’s presence in our lives. Her spirit, compassion and love will always remain with us. Mary asks that all who knew her, remember the happy times they had together. “Say not in grief that she is no more, but in thankfulness that she was, when all that’s left is love”.
At Mary’s request there will be no memorial service. Instead, she requests that memorial contributions be made to her favorite charity for the developmentally disabled at:
