Mary E. Naranjo peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 9,2022. Mary was born in Fort Collins Colorado on September 28, 1943 to Jose and Josephine Naranjo. Mary attended Holy Family Catholic School in Fort Collins until the family moved to Berthoud, Colorado.
After Mary’s parents passed, her care was entrusted to her sister and brother-in-law Margaret and LeRoy Salazar of Berthoud.
Mary flourished as a young adult learning life skill at Foothills Gateway which led to her brief career in the restaurant industry.
Mary enjoyed several hobbies especially assembling jigsaw puzzles. Her passion was dancing and watching the Denver Broncos. Mary loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by LeRoy Salazar, Berthoud CO, siblings Joe (Joyce) Naranjo, Kettering OH., Manuel Naranjo Thornton CO, Roger (Karen) Naranjo Lawrenceburg TN, Cathy (Alfred) Gonzales Longmont CO, Mike Naranjo Longmont CO, Georgia (Ernie) Rivas Fort Collins CO, along with bonus siblings Geri (Abe) Rivas Greeley CO, Bobby (Cherry) Salazar Loveland CO, Rodney Salazar Loveland CO, and Oretta Salazar, Berthoud CO, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is furthered survived by aunts Dolores Armijo and Matilda Lopez.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Josephine Naranjo, siblings Tino Trujillo, Frank Naranjo, Isabelle Velasquez, Carmen Martinez, Margaret Salazar, and Liza Salazar.
Recitation of the rosary will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with a Memorial Mass following at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at Foothills Garden of Memories in Longmont, CO.
In leu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Foothills Gateway, Inc. in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
