July 27, 1939 - September 29, 2021
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Pizzuti, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all whose lives she touched. On September 29, 2021 Mary passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at UC Health Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado.
Mary was born July 27, 1939 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was married to her high school sweetheart Nick for 60 years until his passing in 2017. She graduated from Metropolitan State College with a bachelor’s degree in Education, and received her master degree in Education from CSU Fort Collins, Colorado. Following her graduation, Mary served in the Commerce City and Thornton schools for 30 years, sharing her passion for reading with her Elementary Students. Her fondness for social gatherings with family and friends and love of animals was eclipsed only by her devotion as a fan to the Denver Broncos.
Her bright smile, infectious sense of humor, and warm heart left an imprint on the lives of many. Most remarkably, Mary will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and friends, a gift that will be forever cherished by them. Mary Pizzuti was both a sweet and fierce woman. She will be deeply missed.
