APRIL 13, 1977 – MARCH 28, 2021

Mary Margaret Ludwig passed away in her home in Platteville, Colorado on March 28, 2021 at the age of 43.

Mary was born on April 13, 1977 in Englewood, Colorado to Warren Lee Graf and Felicitas Ludwig at Swedish Medical Center in Denver.

Mary grew up in Denver. She attended Ellis Elementary for grades kindergarten through 3rd and then Harrington School for 4th and 5th grade. She then went to Merrill Middle School for grades 6 and 7, and then finished her 8th grade year at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. She obtained her high school diploma from Bishop Machebeuf Catholic High School.

After high school, she moved to Arkansas and completed her Pharmacy Technician Certification. While she lived in Arkansas, she had her only son, Bailey Ludwig with Christopher “Chris” Koller. She eventually moved back to Denver to raise her son. In doing so, she attended Everest College and earned a certificate in Medical Assisting. From there, she pursued dermatology careers all around the North Metro Denver Area. She was most recently employed at UCHealth in the dermatology field as a MOHS Micrographic Technician.

She grew up Catholic and became a bigger believer in her later years. Although her relationship with God wasn’t always present, we always felt she knew He was always with her.

Her hobbies included cooking, spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors and traveling. Her favorite season was summer and no matter where she lived, she would always find a way to a pool, to lounge, read a book and get a sun tan. The country that she most often visited and was her absolute favorite, was Mexico, especially exploring all of its culture and surrounding areas. She had also been to Paris, the Domincan Republic and most recently Singapore, where she spent 7 months going on adventures, making friends and living her life to the fullest.

When she returned from Singapore, she lived with her son, his wife, Molly, and her grandson Boyd “Bo” Warren Ludwig, who she adored and loved very much.

Mary was a compassionate, kind, caring soul with a fiery wildside. She was always up for an adventure. She would do anything for anyone no matter what the circumstances were. She would make friends wherever she would go and it spoke volumes to her character. Her wild soul and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed, but will live on in her family and friends across the world.

Mary is preceded in death by her mother Felicitas Ludwig, her grandmother Virginia Graf and many friends. She is survived by her son Bailey, daughter-in-law Molly Collins, her grandson Boyd “Bo” Ludwig, her father Warren “Gary” Graf, her sister Teresa Ludwig and niece Riley Delfeld, her sister Nicole Ludwig and nephew Brandon Ludwig and numerous cousins.

An Open House Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 9, 2021 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, CO.
