APRIL 23, 1940 – AUGUST 18, 2021
Mary Suzanne “Sue” (Breakey) Row was granted eternal peace and rest on August 18, 2021. Born in Denver, Colorado on April 23, 1940 to Verne and Thelma (Shively) Breakey, Sue was very proud to be a Colorado Native.
Sue graduated from South High School in Denver and continued on to Denver University for a time. On March 19, 1960, she married Perrie “Pete” Row, and the two of them raised their three children in southeast Denver. While caring for her children was her top priority, Sue also worked as a receptionist for various doctors, and later as a Business Analyst at JCPenney Corporate Headquarters. After her retirement, she and Pete moved to Loveland Colorado, where they enjoyed new-found friends and activities.
During her time in Loveland, Sue was a member of the Legion of Mary at St. John the Evangelist in Loveland. She especially loved her time in Adoration and volunteering to say the rosary at nursing homes in the area.
Sue loved spending time with her grandchildren and looked forward to each of their visits. Dachshunds were Sue’s favorite furry companions, and her dog Molly brought her great comfort and affection later in life. Sue found joys in simple pleasures such as a hug, listening to music, and feeling the sunshine on her face.
During the last several years, Sue was a resident of Columbine’s New Mercer and Centre Avenue facilities where she received excellent care. A special thank you to all of the staff at Centre Avenue who gave our mom not only wonderful, compassionate care, in the last two years, but also love and joy.
Sue is survived by her son Perrie Row III of Denver; daughters Lydia Olsen and her husband Phil of Fort Collins, and Andrea Strouse and her husband James of Centennial; and grandchildren Zachary (Kaitlin), Benjamin (Becca), William, and Hannah Olsen and Peter and Luke Strouse. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister Sondra Kay Robinson of California.
A private Committal Service was held at Resthaven Memory Gardens, and a memorial Mass will be held in December. Details will be following. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association in care of Resthaven Funeral Home.
