February 17, 1990 - August 8, 2022

Megan Arneson was born on Feb 17th, 1990 in Sacramento CA to her parents Brian and Isabell, and departed this Earth on August 8th, 2022 while returning home to Loveland with her son Joe after a fun filled day at Water World.

As a single mom living under challenging circumstances in California, she followed her dad to Colorado in 2016 to start a fresh new life for herself and Joe. In Colorado she discovered her passion for teaching and caring for young children. She loved working at Children’s Workshop in Loveland, and was proud to have recently been promoted to the Assistant Director position.

In her free time Megan enjoyed countless adventures with Joe, including fishing, camping and even Joe’s first concert this summer. There is no unit of measurement to describe the love Megan had for her son. From the moment she knew she was pregnant she lived her life for Joe. She was constantly working on herself and her life, to provide the best life possible for her son.

Her sister Roslyn says “I was lucky to be blessed with a sister the day I came into this world. I think we both knew from the start that we were going to be in each other’s lives forever. We grew up together, pushed our dad’s buttons together and most importantly we were figuring out life together.  Megan and I became best friends later in our lives. Megan was someone you could call in the middle of the night and she would come running to help you or talk to you for hours until you were okay.  She had a way of making you feel like everything was going to be just fine.  She would celebrate victories with me like they were her own. Megan was so uniquely funny and silly and loved making people laugh. Recently, we took a road trip together and we had 12 hours in the car of telling secrets, sharing stories, sharing our goals and life dreams with each other. Without Megan here, I feel like a part of me is missing.”

Megan was blessed to have a large and loving family, including her father Brian and Desiree Christianson, her mother Isabel and Leonard Williams, siblings and step siblings including Roslyn, Christian, Tehya and Aaron, Dakota and Emily. Rest assured that Joe’s grandparents, and numerous aunts & uncles will continue Megan’s love and caring for him in her unfortunate absence.

Megan had a very close relationship with God her entire life, proclaiming in her pre-teen years that “Jesus was my boyfriend”. She would pray daily with Joe, sister Roslyn, mother Isabel and other family members. Her family feels comfort knowing that she is safe, and watching over them all as they grieve.
