It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Woodruff, who bravely battled prostate cancer for three years. On the evening of October 11th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, Michael peacefully departed this world at the age of 65.

Mike leaves behind his devoted wife of 35 years, Jennifer Woodruff, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories and unwavering love. Mike’s family was at the center of his world, and he found immeasurable joy in being a husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind three children: Travis (Brooke) Woodruff, Courtney (Ross) Miller, Morgan (Gabe) O’Keefe, and beautiful grandchildren, Asher and Isla Woodruff, Logan and Nate Miller, and Gentry and Landon O’Keefe. His family was his pride and joy, and he instilled in them the values of love, respect, and perseverance. Mike took immense pride in one of his favorite roles as a grandfather.

His love and devotion will always be there to guide them. Mike’s professional life showed his passion for public works. He made many positive impacts in the communities where he served, finally retiring from the City of Brighton. His tireless efforts and dedication will be remembered and appreciated for generations to come, including the naming of the Michael Woodruff Municipal Service Center by the City of Brighton. Mike’s life is a testament to the power of love, resilience, and dedication. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be dearly missed and forever loved.
