Michael Louis Foye, Age 64

Boulder, CO - Michael L. Foye, 64, died Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver.

Mike was born on July 4th, 1956, in Hanover Pennsylvania to Louis and Rita Foye. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kansas in 1978 and MBA from University of Michigan in 1980. On April 19th, 1986 Mike married Peg at Holy Cross Church in Omaha, Nebraska and they spent 34 wonderful years of marriage together. Their moves included: California in 1986, Colorado in 1988, Massachusetts in 2002, and back to Colorado in 2005 where he stayed for the remainder of his life. On February 3rd, 1991, they were blessed with a son, Daniel.

In recent years, Mike was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where he headed the ushering group along with being a Knights of Columbus volunteer. He was a very giving and thoughtful man who cared about others over himself. Mike loved golf as well as playing bridge, poker, and board games with friends and family. He was also an avid reader and loved trivia, especially related to sports and Harry Potter. Christmas was his favorite time of year.

Mike was an extremely talented individual with a work ethic like no other. He was employed at multiple companies, but the majority of his years were spent at Maxtor and subsequently Seagate Technology, where he retired in 2016. He continued to work his typical 10-12-hour days up to retirement. He was a very valued and respected leader in the workplace.

Before retirement, Mike always enjoyed planning family vacations. Once retired, Mike became an ‘armchair’ travel agent, scheduling wonderful trips that were extremely detailed. Their most recent trip was a 6-week cruise to Australia and New Zealand.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Peg Foye, Son, Daniel (Dulce) Foye, Father, Louis Foye, and Sisters Suzanne (Al) McNaughton and Stephanie (Chuck) Foye-Schrank. He will be deeply and forever missed.
