Mildred Naomi Louise Wright was born June 12th, 1930 to parents Nathan and Mary Wright in Thurman, Colorado. She passed from this life into her eternal home on September 5th, 2023 in Aurora, Colorado.
Mildred was always known as ‘Dot’ to her family because, when she was born prematurely, her dad said she looked just like a little dot on the bed. Mildred grew up on a farm south of Thurman and graduated from Sunny Slope School. She went on to study nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse working at Rose Medical Center and Mercy Hospital in Denver, winning many awards during her career for Nurse of the Year.
She was predeceased by her parents, Nathan and Mary Wright, four sisters, Marge Elliston, Elma Powell, Delpha Ruby and Ruby James. She is survived by sisters Darlene Halvorson of Aurora, and Ardis Rubesam of Limon, and one brother, Sonny Wright of Nashville, TN and many nieces and nephews.
Mildred accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior as a child and loved studying her Bible and was a long time supporter of the Pillar of Fire Church as well as many other Christian Organizations.
